Family Birding Course

Do you have young children and would like to introduce them to the world of birds and nature by exploring Fish Creek? Try the Family Birding Course presented by the Friends of Fish Creek and Nature Calgary. The goal of this course is to engage beginning birders and families in the joy of birding, share interesting bird facts and teach basic bird identification skills for common species.
This course is perfect for children between the ages of 4 to 8 years of age, entering kindergarten to entering grade 3.
A parent or guardian must stay for the full session.
Only $30.00 / youth for all 3 sessions.
There is a limit of 20 children.
Each session will consist of a guided bird walk for approximately 100 minutes and a 20 minute lesson.
1) Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre
2) Carburn Park
3) Inglewood Bird Sanctuary: craft – each participant will make a simple bird feeder to take home
