DESCRIPTION:Speaker Series – Nature Based Solutions: Adapting to Climate Change\nWelcome to: Nature Based Solutions: Adapting to Climate Change \nLearn more about how Freshwater Conservation Canada is using nature-based solutions to restore watershed function and resilience and recover native biodiversity. This talk will explore the use of bioengineering and low-tech process-based restoration along small streams\, and the role this plays in buffering the impacts of disturbance like flood\, drought\, and fire while also helping to recover native trout.\nLocated at the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre 13931 Woodpath Road SW; this event is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages.\nThe presentation will also be made available online via Zoom. \nLesley Peterson is the Director of Conservation with Freshwater Conservation Canada (formerly known as Trout Unlimited Canada) and is based in Calgary. Lesley has been with the organization for nearly 17 years\, holding various positions in that time.
