The Friends of Fish Creek are looking for a qualified candidate to fill our new, part-time Program & Stewardship Coordinator position.  We hope to find someone to start as soon as possible to work with us into the fall (until the end of October) as we continue to engage volunteers in stewardship fieldwork in Fish Creek Provincial Park.

The ideal candidate is someone who has some experience with the Friends and our programs, as well as a professional/educational background in environmental science, ecology, biology etc.  You will be responsible for coordinating and exucuting outdoor fieldwork that focuses on our ReWilding (riparian restoration work) in addition to other fieldwork and environmental monitoring on our new digital app (ArcGIS Collector).  Leading/supervising groups of volunteers safely in this work is also a key responsibility, as is providing general support to Friends’ staff in other programs/events as needed.  We all do a little bit of everything around here!

If you are currently a student and plan to go back to University (in Calgary) in the fall, it may be possible for you to continue in this part time position, as some of the work will be on evenings/weekends.

Please review the Program & Stewardship Coordinator job description for full details.

We are NOT accepting resumes for this position, but invite you to compete the form below to indicate your interest and qualifications if you are interested in becoming part of our team.  We will only be in touch with people who we would like to interview.

Thank you for your interest, we look forward to hearing from you!
