The Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society is a Provincial Park-based charitable organization looking for a Learning Naturally Coordinator. Learning Naturally is an award-winning, environmental education program that provides high-quality, outdoor education to elementary school students otherwise unable to participate due to financial constraints.

General Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Fish Creek Environmental Education Staff
  • Coordinate delivery of the Learning Naturally Program (19 established, seasonally offered studies at the K-6 curricular level in science and social studies).
  • Contact the schools to confirm their program dates, as previously scheduled.
  • Book additional schools to attend the program as needed.
  • Provide “Book your Bus Now” procedure sheet to the schools; ensure buses are booked
    within budget.
  • Provide “Teacher Orientation” notices and keep record of attendance at Orientations.
  • Lead all teacher orientations.
  • Regularly meet with Fish Creek Formal and Environmental Education staff to maintain cohesiveness of educational programs and facilities
