Good Grief Program:
Nature Walking for Grief and Loss

Come walk with us.

Take a walk—alongside, not away from—your grief or loss, through the calming scenery of Fish Creek Provincial Park. In partnership with Mount Royal University Professor Sonya Jakubec and Alberta Parks, the Good Grief program offers an 8-week series of gentle nature walks in Fish Creek Park. Walk in nature with caring volunteer companions.

This is an on-going weekly program that combines gentle walking in nature with reflection and sharing. It is designed to support adults who are grieving. Each week follows one of our core themes to deepen reflection and connection.

The program is offered to registrants to ensure continuity and trust among the participants and volunteer facilitators along the journey. The Summer 2026 series goes from July 8 to Aug 26, 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Wednesday evenings.
