Speaker Series – Accelerating Grassland Restoration in Fish Creek with the Alberta Native Plant Rescue Society

Welcome to: Accelerating Grassland Restoration in Fish Creek with the Alberta Native Plant Rescue Society

Thanks to our incredible partnership with Alberta Native Plant Rescue Society, we successfully saved thousands of native plants from private land development. We transplant these plants into restoration sites in Bow Valley Ranch to enhance the ecological health of Fish Creek Provincial Park. Emma Stroud, a biologist with Friends of Fish Creek, will proudly discuss our new project, Grow with Us, and share how you can get involved from your own backyard. Additionally, you will learn about the importance of native plants and the ecological value and functions of native grasslands!

Located at the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre 13931 Woodpath Road SW; this event is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages.

This event will also be made available online via Zoom for those who cannot make it in-person, or who prefer to attend online.

Doors for the event open at 6:30pm, feel free to stop by for some snacks or drinks before we start.
