Energize with Grizzlies

Wednesday, April 15, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

To help minimize the spread of Covid-19 and support public health and safety, the Friends are partnering with CPAWS to host this presentation online. Registration is required in order receive an invitation to the meeting.

Presented by Hanna Thai, Energy Efficiency Educator, CPAWS Southern Alberta Chapter

What do grizzly bears and our energy systems have in common? Come out to CPAWS’s Energize with Grizzlies program to find out! Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society’s Southern Alberta Chapter (CPAWS SAB) has an award winning environmental education program. CPAWS’s newest interactive program will engage audiences in the current state of the grizzly bear as a species at risk and explore solutions like energy efficiency as a means to protecting wildlife. Come on out to learn about Alberta’s energy system and share stories about your role in Alberta’s energy landscape.

Born and raised in Cowtown, Hanna Thai plans to stick around the rolling hills, mountains and valleys of Southern Alberta her entire life. She has an Environmental Sciences degree from the University of Calgary and is currently the energy efficiency educator at Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Southern Alberta Chapter. Her work includes collaborating with and sharing ideas about the province’s energy future and creating space for productive dialogue with all Albertans. In her free time, she enjoys learning from local Indigenous people, crafting, and hiking the foothills.

Registration Required.
