1:30pm-4:30pm: Walking Tour and Weed Pull – Learn about engineered wetlands and invasive species
Hosted by Wayne Meikle and Katie Pearson, Project and Programs Director, Friends of Fish Creek
Fee: $20 per person (proceeds support education and conservation initiatives in the park).
Visit the engineered wetland complex near Votier’s Flats and help remove common burdock near Bridge 7 that established itself there after the 2005 flood. Space is limited to approximately 25 participants.
