Presented by Mike Jokinen, Biologist with the Alberta Conservation Association
Wildlife species that are rarely seen are now being detected around the world using trail camera technology. Not only have researchers been able to detect species of interest like bobcat, wolverine, cougar and grizzly, but these cameras have even revealed species inhabiting areas where they were thought to be extinct. The Alberta Conservation Association has been using this amazing technology for over 5 years in remote areas of Southern Alberta for a variety of projects, and the information these cameras can provide to each project is both astonishing and invaluable. Join Mike Jokinen, ACA Biologist, for this once in a lifetime glimpse into the secret world of our local carnivores.
Registration Required. Space is limited. Refreshments will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Admission: Free to Friends members, $5 for non-members.
