Bitter Sisters – Proud Supporter of Fish Creek
Support the Friends of Fish Creek by having a Tarty Cousin Sue beer from the Donation Libation Tap in May!
The Friends are excited to partner with Jill and Tracy, proprietors of one of Calgary’s newest restaurants – Bitter Sisters. During the month of May, stop by for a pint of Tarty Cousin Sue from the Donation Libation tap and help support the Friends of Fish Creek. Twenty-five cents from the sale of every Tarty Cousin Sue – a refreshing cranberry raspberry wheat ale – will go to the Friends of Fish Creek. Of course, the Bitter Sisters also have many other brews to try and an extensive menu of all your pub favourites. Drop by Bitter Sisters, at 510 Heritage Drive near Macleod Trail and the Heritage LRT station, and support Fish Creek by enjoying a Tarty Cousin Sue this month.

Before Bitter Sisters, Tracy and Jill had owned and operated the first Atlantic Trap and Gill Pub in Vancouver, with a second Trap and Gill in Calgary the next year, followed by a third in Edmonton in 2000. In addition to that, the sisters also ran a successful bar and restaurant in the Caribbean island of Turks and Caicos. Bitter Sisters Brewing Co. opened its doors in February 2020, right before the start of the pandemic, but aside from a few setbacks, business has been steady for the sisters. Despite the stress of the pandemic Bitter Sisters survived, much in part from the tremendous support from the local community and amazing staff. 2022 is looking like it is going to be a fantastic year for our Brewery and our community.
