Ecosystem engineer most excellent, or tree feller most voracious, the activities of the North American Beaver have given it a polarized and controversial reputation. We call them nature’s engineers for good reason. No species other than humans has the potential to terraform the landscape as much as beavers do. Climb aboard the minibus and learn about Canada’s famous (or infamous) national animal, its role in ecosystems, and the possibilities for peaceful coexistence on site in the habitat of Fish Creek Provincial Park.
