Youth Nature Programs

By developer

Since 2013, the Friends of Fish Creek have been delivering Youth Nature Programs so youth groups to learn about and connect with the natural world.  These interactive educational programs take place at various locations throughout the park and foster understanding and appreciation for local ecology.  Click on the green button below to learn about the array of Youth Nature Programs we offer.

Volunteer responsibilities include greeting each group, helping to present the program with staff and/or fellow volunteers and ensuring group safety.  Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Checks are required for first year volunteers in this program (volunteer letter provided for discounted rate).  Click here to view the Volunteer Job Description.

2019 Volunteer Training has passed. If you are interested in shadowing at our Youth Nature Programs, please check off Youth Nature Programs in your list of Program Interests call Katie at 587-327-4268. First-year volunteers in this program need to get a Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Check, for which the Friends of Fish Creek will provide a letter certifying that the check is for Volunteer purposes.
