Friends of Fish Creek and Alberta Parks Enhanced Partnership
The Alberta Government has dedicated $43 million towards Alberta’s beautiful provincially protected areas and close to $500,000 towards the Friends of Fish Creek and our stewardship efforts over the course of three years .
The Friends would like to thank Premier Kenney, Minister Nixon and their team at Alberta Parks for supporting the Friends of Fish Creek vision and enabling the next great chapter in the story of Fish Creek Provincial Park.
Enhancing our partnership will benefit not just the park itself but also the incredible community of volunteers and supporters that make our work possible. The Enhanced Partnership Project between Alberta Environment and Parks and the Friends of Fish Creek has provided both organizations with a unique opportunity to build on what we each do best, with the ultimate goal of providing an improved park user experience and more efficient management of programs and resources.
During this partnership the Friends of Fish Creek will enhance park visitors’ experiences by focusing on park ecology, conservation, visitor information, public engagement, communication, formal education programming, and park management support.
