The Secret Lives of Bighorn Sheep

Presented by Dr. Kathreen Ruckstuhl, Associate Professor at U of C

Dr. Ruckstuhl will give an overview of her research on the bighorn sheep she has been studying in Sheep River Provincial Park and Kananaskis Country. She will present data on their behaviour and ecology, and discuss her findings on sexual segregation, decision-making, cooperation, breeding migrations and other snippets of the bighorn sheep in Kananaskis Country.

Dr. Ruckstuhl (Associate Professor at U of C) has worked on a variety of ungulate species in Europe, Africa and Canada, but she is best known for her studies on individually marked bighorn sheep she has researched for the past 20 years. 

Admission: Free to Friends members,  $5 for non-members.
